OPTISOURCE is specially designed to help post-bariatric surgery patients. Each 4-fl oz serving supplies 12 grams of protein to help maintain muscle tissue. So while OPTISOURCE isn't intended as a sole source of nutrition, it's certainly a healthy part of the mix. Each 8-fl oz Brik Pak contains two 4-fl oz servings.

its the best

Having had by-pass over 7 years ago I have tried more then my share of protein drinks. Everything from pre-mix ready made to the do it yourself fresh fruit soy milk fancy powder mixes. This one beats them ALL hands down. Its smooth and tasty. I was given it while in the hospital went home pulled it up on line and ordered my own YUMMIE
