  • My husband is recovering from throat cancer treatments and lost weight from Chemo and radiation treatments. I add this to his protein shakes made with ice cream, milk and protein powder to bump up the calories. The treatment center recommended and gave us a sample. They suggested mashed potatoes but he still can't swallow the potatoes. Make sure you shake and or stir it before you add it to anything.

  • This stuff is so very high in caloric content and is pretty much just what the doctor ordered, but use it sparingly. It takes disgusting and I used it a year ago and sadly needed to reorder it for medical reasons. I dread having to use it again, as I had put it in with milk and cereal and a year later still can't get the taste out of my mouth. I should have used less or put it in something else to disguise it's taste. It does not give you any suggestions, so you're on your own to figure it out, but like I said, start small.

  • Rating Needs some improvement but not a bad product, Sunday, April 17, 2011

  • "My only issue with this is that you can ONLY add it to a few COOL/COLD foods. If the food is even slightly warm, it separates and smells funny. But I can add it to my pudding, yogurt or smoothies just fine. But I like a little variety despite my very limited diet. I use this since my average intake is only about 600 cals a day without it. But again with only being able to add it to a few foods, it makes it difficult to do so."

  • Rating Great for my kid, Saturday, January 15, 2011

  • "I started adding this to my 8-year old developmentally delayed child's morning drink this week. She usually drinks pediasure, but we make smoothies too. She doesn't notice the taste, and I thought it made the pediasure taste better actually! What has been profound is the reports from this first week from school. She has more energy, is eating BETTER, and is able to keep up with the other children. It might be the miracle we have been looking for! Fingers crossed!"

  • "We also find that mixing it in with chocolate milk works. In our case, we add it to 8 oz of milk and carnation instant breakfast. Our 18 month old will drink it without hesitation. It's been really helpful for maintaining his weight despite an underlying heart condition that makes weight gain difficult."
