About the product
Rated 1 out of 5 by Toni from Reformulated from OptiSource to OptiFast... As an individual who had Gastric Bypass 12 years ago I used OptiSource as my post surgery supplement from the start. This is a necessary component after having this weight reduction surgery. Now, after 12 years of a pleasant and decent tasting (Orange flavored; Citrus according to Nestle) supplement I could tolerate daily, Nestle has changed its formula. They recently changed the product name to OptiFAST and the new formula provides an awful medicine taste while chewing them which then lasts for several minutes afterwards. The label still states a Citrus flavor yet there is no hint of this or an Orange flavor. Just medicine. If Nestle reads reviews of their products I am begging you...please, please, PLEASE!...return to your ORIGINAL FORMULA for the sake of the many people who need to take a supplement such as this!!! I will be researching for an alternative product now that you have created a product that I have to think of unfavorably and detest taking each day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wherrod from New Formula=Awful taste I have been taking Optisource EVERY DAY since my surgery 3 years ago. I actually liked the taste. I ordered a bottle on Amazon and it was replaced with the new formula, OptiFast. I am now out of that bottle and will NOT be ordering more! They taste awful and Since I have to tolerate these twice a day, I MUST like them! I am switching to another product until the old flavor is back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark from New formula has bitter taste I have used an Optisource vitamin for over a decade since my Doctor prescribed it. It has changed formulas twice before. A few weeks ago, I received a nice heads-up call that they were adding something and the formula would change for my upcoming auto-reorder. I asked if the taste would change since it changed last time and was a bit bitter. I was assured no change in taste. I have used this new formula of Optifast for over a week - and it leaves a terrible after taste. It is very unpleasant - and, as others have written, very disappointing. Why would I put myself through this twice a day for the full two bottles that came on my re-order. I add my voice to Nestle - please PLEASE PLEASE! restore the old taste. I can't believe you think this is the same flavor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marquita from So Disappointed. I have been taking Optisource vitamins for more then 3.5years this new product is not just a label change. I am so upset and upset because I found something that worked for me post bariatric surgery and that is now gone. These taste horrible. I am not happy with the change and hope I can find a new product that works for me because this is not it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nursemeloney from Formula change. I had gastric bypass over 6 years ago and had taken Optisource from day one! Come on Nestle, why did you have to change things. The taste of the "new formula' is aweful!! I never had a taste left in my mouth from the previous formula!!! Also, now that the formula has changed I have to take yet another pill to replace the Fe that this new formula no longer provides!!! Don't fix what isn't broken!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by BRbadFlav from Why?!! Why did you change taste of Optisource vitamins? The new optifast taste like opticrud! The change is terrible. Please go back to old formula.. keep name change, but make what is already a huge pill to chew at least bearable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by johnyboombots from It use to be better The new formula doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the old one and way less orange. This has more of that familiar multivitamin chew flavor I liked missing in the old formula.
