LOVE THIS FLAVOR
I have been using this flavor for the last 5 years to help take my medications. I take several medications in day totaling 13 pills a day. This just helps with taking them. It is such a wonderful flavor and chocolate malts have always been my favorite malt flavor. I so need this flavor to come back. I buy a case of this every 2 months. Sometimes when I just want to drink this, which is often, I do. Yes, I have tried the chocolate one and I used it for over a year, but then amazon suggested this flavor and I went to it immediately. Love it. Make my life just a bit easier with bringing back this flavor. I already have enough other things to worry about.

BEST Flavor!
I have been enjoying the dark chocolate from the time it was available & after years of using your milk chocolate "Instant Breakfast" powder. My local grocery stopped carrying it recently & added the new mocha flavor. I was hoping that they were tight on available shelf space...but it appears from recent ratings/responses that you have discontinued this flavor! SO VERY disappointed! I think the reason sales were poor was the name. Many think dark chocolate can be bitter, and with 2 chocolate flavors available, buyers probably opted for the more tried & true one, which sounded more appealing "Rich Milk" Chocolate! Please bring it back...but with a better name!

I've been drinking this my favorite flavor for nearly four decades. After moving abroad five years ago, I buy 1000 packets every summer to bring with me. Went to make my summer purchase only to find they aren't made anymore. I cried in the grocery store when the manager told me. The kind manager arranged for every box across all of their regional stores to get to me but this only netted me 200 packets which won't last a full year. What will I do when those run out????
Please begin making them again and at least sell online. You have many loyal fans.

Dark Chocolate was the only flavor I will drink.
I have been drinking this every day for at least 2 decades, whenever it was that I first found it. I could only find it at Heinen's in our area, NO other stores carried it. When I saw the spot where they had kept the Dark Chocolate filled with Rich Milk Chocolate, and the tag on the shelf changed, I got a very bad feeling about it. This was the only one I would drink, this was my morning coffee, and made it simple and pleasurable to drink yummy chocolaty milk without adding super sweet taste.
I guess this will force me to make up my own mix with cocao powder now.

PLEASE BRING BACK CLASSIC CHOCOLATE MALT!
To the Marketing Department: Please reconsider your decision to discontinue Classic Chocolate Malt Instant Breakfast drink. I have been drinking the Classic Chocolate Malt flavor since the 1960's. I never wanted anything for breakfast before I went to school. My mother put her trust in your product and felt much better sending me off to school after I drank a glass of my favorite Classic Chocolate Malt Instant Breakfast drink. I have been drinking this flavor for five decades. Please don't take it away from those of us who still love it! Thank you.

Disappointed to see my favourite out of production
I used to by the 5-flavour variety packs just for the Classic Chocolate Malt and dark chocolate, and would than ration the malt flavour so it was the first and last one of each box I consumed. Vanilla, rich milk chocolate, they're all too sweet. The chocolate malt and dark chocolate were the only ones I didn't find too sweet, and the reason I continued buying the variety pack with the flavours I didn't prefer.
Really quite disappointed I'll have to find a substitute in chocolate malt, I hope I can find one with the same nutrition.

Chocolate Malt is essential!
I am deeply saddened by the apparent discontinuation of Classic Chocolate Malt (I still call it Instant Breakfast). I have been drinking this since I was in high school, and I am now in my mid 60’s. I’m sure the product manager that put together this new brand strategy though it was a good idea to discontinue this flavor. It is not. This was by far the best flavor, and Chocolate is not an acceptable substitute. Please bring it back.

Are Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Family of Products appropriate for kids, teens and adults?
Our family of products help meet the nutritional needs of not only kids and teens but adults as well. The Original, Licensed, Probiotics and Light Start® products are nutritionally appropriate for ages 4 years and older. The High Protein products are nutritionally appropriate for ages 9 years and older.
Are Carnation Breakfast Essentials® products suitable for people with lactose intolerance?
Our Ready to Drink products are suitable for lactose intolerance but not for individuals with galactosemia. Our Powder products contain nonfat milk (which is a natural source of lactose), and therefore are not suitable for people with lactose intolerance.
Do Carnation Breakfast Essentials® products contain caffeine?
Our products do not contain any added caffeine. However, the chocolate flavored products contain a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine contributed by the cocoa (< 5 mg per serving).
Can I heat Carnation Breakfast Essentials® products?
Yes, our Ready to Drink beverages can be heated, provided you pour the beverage into a microwaveable glass or cup prior to heating. Our Powder Drink Mixes can also be heated. Heat 1 cup of milk in a microwave safe mug for 1½ minutes or until hot. Stir in one packet or serving of the Powder. Be sure to check the temperature of the product before consuming or offering it to a child.
Can I freeze Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Ready to Drink products?
Our Ready to Drink products are not designed to be frozen. However, they can be frozen if you prefer a slushy or ice cream consistency. In that case, pour the drink in a clean, sealed container prior to freezing, and freeze for approximately 60-90 minutes. Consume the frozen product. We do not recommend freezing Carnation Breakfast Essentials® drinks and then thawing them.
Am I required to refrigerate Carnation Breakfast Essentials® bottles before drinking?
It is best to chill all Ready to Drink products before consuming. However, refrigeration is not required. Once opened, unused portions should be tightly covered, refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
Are Carnation Breakfast Essentials® products WIC eligible?
Our Ready to Drink products are WIC* eligible in most states. Ask your healthcare provider or local WIC representative if your child can benefit from the nutrition in Carnation Breakfast Essentials®. Our Powder products are not WIC* eligible.
