Worth the cost... it really works!
My husband has needed to thicken all beverages for several years now. Altho skeptical, I bought a small can of Thicken Up Clear for him to try. He is thrilled. For the first time he can make a drink and it will remain thickened until he finishes it. All others he has tried separate quickly, increasing the risk of choking after the first few minutes. Thank you, Nestle! This truly is an improvement to his quality of life.

We mix it with any and everything! it thickens up pretty quickly without being grainy! My son who has trouble swallowing loves that it everything all tastes the same and goes down smoothly

Best on the market
When I'm in the market and I see people looking at other thickeners, I always recommend Thicken up to them. It is the only thickener I use. There is absolutely no taste. When you have to use a thickener in your water to enable you to swallow food, the last thing you want is to have the taste of the food affected. And you don't have to use very much. Just a teaspoon with thicken a 12 oz glass of water.

This product is by far the best thing I have found on the market You only need to use a fraction of the amount required by other thickeners and it adds absolutely no taste or texture to anything you add it too I have even used it to thicken sauces, soups and gravies It has made all the difference in my diet

Used Thicken Up Clear
I used this product with my mother for 13 months. I tried other product samples, and found this to be the easier product to mix with her Boost (doing 1/2 bottle at a time) and the easiest container to store. I have recommended this product to patients.

How long can I use ThickenUP® Clear powder once the canister has been opened?
After the canister is opened, ThickenUP® Clear can be used for up to 8 weeks.
Do I use the same amount of ThickenUP® Clear powder to thicken liquids as I would my current starch-based thickener?
Compared to most current starch-based thickeners, a smaller amount of ThickenUP® Clear powder is required to thicken the same amount of fluid to the same consistency. Please refer to the preparation charts.
How many servings are available from a canister?
The number of servings available in each packaging option will depend upon the desired consistency level of the thickened beverages. For 4 fl oz beverages, the 1-2-3 rule applies. 1 scoop for Nectar or Mildly Thick (level 2), 2 scoops for Honey or Moderately Thick (level 3), 3 scoops for Pudding. The following is an example of how many servings are available in each format: 4.4 oz (125 g) canister = approximately 89 scoops = approximately 89 nectar or mildly thick (level 2) thickened servings = approximately 44 honey or moderately thick (level 3) thickened servings.
While preparing a thickened beverage with ThickenUP® Clear, does it make a difference to the end product if the thickener or the fluid is added first to the glass?
Yes, for best results it is recommended that the liquid be added to the powder. In other words, place the powder in the glass or container first, then add the liquid.
Why does milk require a longer thickening time?
Fluids with a higher protein content typically take longer to thicken. It is suggested that milk stand for at least 15 minutes to achieve the desired consistency.
